ATEX

ATEX, which stands for French “ATmosphère EXplosible”, is the brief description of European Directive 2014/34/EU. It governs placing of explosion protected electrical and mechanical devices, components and protective systems on the market. Since July 1, 2003 it has applied to all new devices and protective equipment.

A potential ignition source arises through internal function or external effects. Both of these can be ignored for fitting from emtechnik.

Directive 97/23 EC, Pressurised Vessel Regulations

Our products, valves, ball valve, flow meters and special fittings fall under diagram 8 of the Pressurised Vessel Regulations based on fluid class, pressure, nominal diameters and volume. In the area of article 4 paragraph 3.

Vacuum suitability of products

In the helium tightness test method, the test object is evacuated and charged with helium. Since helium has a very small molecular size, it can penetrate even through very small leaks, which means it can be detected very quickly.
